Senior Exercise and Fitness

St. Francis of Bellingham offers two important sides of fitness and exercise, the short-term and the long-term. The short-term side is more intensive and is more about restoring muscle function and strength, while the long-term offers fitness routines to keep seniors vibrant and active.

Seniors who exercise enjoy never-ending health benefits. In order to maintain health and gain a sense of independence physically, regular exercise is necessary.

Getting older takes away much muscle tone and endurance, but as we keep up a regular fitness schedule, that doesn't put stress on the body, we can reverse this natural aging process. Cardiovascular activity, bodybuilding, stretching and more, can all be geared toward a senior's needs for fitness.
