A Word from the Administrator -Tonja Myers

Welcome to St. Francis of Bellingham. We're very proud of the reputation we have established for personalized and professional care and how this level of care brings great comfort to families.

Daily, our team strives to meet the Avamere Family of Companies overall mission, "to enhance the life of every person we serve," by creating an atmosphere where staff and residents really get to know one another. For instance, our facility is arranged in neighborhoods where staff is assigned to the same group of residents. Relationships have the chance to grow and flourish not only with patients and residents but with their families, as well.

Our community offers many unique benefits. We're directly on the campus of St. Joseph's Hospital, which allows us a very close working relationship with the medical community. Health care providers, short-term patients and residents alike value our close proximity. Also, through a partnership with the State of Washington and Head Start, we offer a Pre-K child-care program onsite. This brings the joyous sounds of youths into our hallways and multiple opportunities for seniors and children to interact. Finally, we have a women's inpatient and outpatient clinic onsite that specializes in rehabilitation for post trauma and post childbirth patients.

Personally, I've been with St. Francis for nearly 14 years. I have a strong passion for working with seniors and for supporting the community both on a legislative and local level.
